VitraBio GmbH

VitraBio GmbH has been established in April 2003. Located in Steinach (Southern Thuringia in the very heart of Germany), the company specializes in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of porous glass carriers ("TRISO®" powders, fibres) with applications in innovative dental fillings, separation techniques for Life Sciences and biomedical devices. Following an MBO, VitraBio in July 2003 has acquired the former "porous glass carriers" business of Schuller GmbH (an affiliate of Johns Manville, Denver, USA) including all patents, trade marks and licenses. VitraBio thus benefits of the proven competence and know- how in production and development of porous glass specialties. A highly sophisticated and extremely flexible production design allows tailor- made solutions meeting the individual requirements of the customers.
