TRISOPOR® HR micro

The relatively low refraction index of porous glasses unfavourably affects applications where optical properties play an important role, e.g. in composite formulations. VitraBio has made a major achievement increasing the refraction index of the specialty TRISOPOR® micro by introducing carefully selected changes of the composition of the starting material. Other important parameters are unaffected by this modification.

Thus, newly developed TRISOPOR® HR micro offers our customers a versatile, finely divided controlled pore glass. While maintaining the proven advantages of a highly porous filler ingredient for dental composites, higher refraction makes it more compatible with organic cross-linkers.
