ZEOLITE-Meeting 2008 in Halle/Saale

From March, 5 –7, Martin-Luther-University in Halle /Saale was the venue for the 20. International Zeolite Meeting. VitraBio controlled pore glass products, e.g. the newly developed TRISOPLAC® monoliths were displayed at a booth. Applications were demonstrated in several lectures and posters.

Zeolites and related micro-, meso-, and macroporous materials, notably controlled pore glasses are being used increasingly in industrial and everyday applications to meet the challenges of sustainable developments. Dr. Dirk Enke, organizer of the Conference had arranged a program focussing on the close connection between basic research projects at academia and application- oriented developments of the industrial sector.

A number of contributed and invited lectures highlighted the versatility of controlled pore glass. As a tool in basic research towards a better understanding of the mechanism of catalytic processes, or as crucial part of analytical devices, this material shows high promise in a wide array of applications.
